If packaged, the student will receive an email notification to view their summer aid through their CobraStop account.
Types of Summer Financial Aid
Pell Grant: Students who did not receive their full Pell Grant in the fall or spring semesters, may be eligible for the remaining Pell for the summer term. Pell Grant eligible students who received full Pell during the fall and spring semesters that enroll at least half-time in the summer will be reviewed for Summer Pell Eligibility.
Federal Stafford Loans: Along with meeting all other financial aid eligibility requirements, students must be enrolled at least half-time in order to receive Federal Direct Stafford Loans. Annual loan limits are determined by class standing and dependency status.
Transfer students, be aware that the amount of Pell Grant and loans received at a previous institution may affect eligibility to receive Pell Grant and loans at Coker.
Federal Direct PLUS Loan: Parents of dependent undergraduate students can borrow a Parent PLUS Loan to assist with covering their students’ educational expenses. Students must meet all financial aid eligibility requirements and be enrolled at least half-time. Parents must apply for the Parent PLUS Loan prior to April 30, 2024 at http://studentaid.gov/plus-app/parent/landing.
Private Loan: Students may visit the FastChoice site to review available private loan options at http://choice.fastproducts.org/FastChoice/home/342700. You may require a co-signer for a private loan.
